Tax Due Dates

Week of March 1st

County/Township Tax Bills mailed out.
April 30th
County/Township tax payments postmarked, paid by credit card or dropped off by this date should be made at 2% discount rate.
May 1st – June 30th
County/Township tax payments postmarked, paid by credit card or dropped off on this date should be made at face amount.

Any payments postmarked, paid by credit card or dropped off in person at the tax office after June 30 must be paid at 10% penalty.
Week of July 1st
School District Tax Bills mailed out. Please note: These bills can be paid in installments. See the front and back of your tax bill for dates and more information.
August 31st
School District tax payments postmarked, paid by credit card or dropped off by this date should be made at 2% discount rate.
September 1st – October 31st
School District tax payments postmarked, paid by credit card or dropped off on this date should be made at face amount.

Any payments postmarked, paid by credit card or dropped off in person at the tax office after October 31 must be paid at 10% penalty.
December 15th
Last day to pay County/Township or School District Taxes in full at face plus 10% penalty by personal check or credit card.

All payments postmarked or made in person at the tax office from December 16 – December 31 MUST be by certified funds only (certified check, cashier check or money order). Any payment method other than by certified funds will not be accepted.
December 31st
Last day to pay County/Township or School District Taxes in full at face plus 10% penalty by certified funds (certified check, cashier check or money order.)

Any payments not by certified fund and not postmarked or dropped off in person at the tax office by this date will be returned to the sender. Any bills that remain unpaid will be sent to the Montgomery County Tax Claim Bureau for collection. *The ONLY exception is for Interim Tax Bills which have due dates after December 31.
